If you want to seriously get down at your wedding and/or have a non-western wedding tradition that you want to celebrate, wearing more than one dress on your wedding day is completely appropriate. For example, some women in the US wear a long white down for the Western-style wedding ceremony, followed by a non-American dress for a ceremony honoring additional traditions from one or both sides of the family, and then change into a short dress for dancing. If you’re going to do this, our tips are: 1) have a designated dressing room where both the bride and groom can change; 2) appoint 2-3 people to help you with the changes; 3) If you’re wearing a white dress for the Western ceremony, a knee-length white dress would also work best for the dancing – white, so that you’re still recognizable as the bride and knee-length to keep it classy.
